This past Tuesday evening at chapel, the whole Teen Challenge "Roasted the M.A.P.S.'ers" with an evening of fun, much laughter and great praise of the Lord.

We were lined up on chairs at the front, dressed in our red vests and having a great time in praise and worship,.. then......... Pastor Mike had us turn our chairs around for all to see. He then had a lot of fun with us, bringing out funning things that have happened especially on the job site and finally having each of us speak into the mike about our experience here.

I have several pictures that will ultimately go into my "album" but here is one for you to see. Pastor Mike ( who runs the T.C.C.B. in Driscoll, TX is the tall man, with the white dress shirt, standing behind Harold.

In the center, behind the pulpit, is Brenda Joy and her husband Rich, and they are the first couple to leave here. They are finished and traveling to Washington (state) to work at a church there and plan to go to Alaska this summer.

A Trip to the Science & History Museum

These are the girls in the 1st - 4th grade at the school. Aunestie is on the left (2nd), next is Kelli (4th), then a new 1st grader named Kristy and on the right is Pastor Mike's oldest daughter named McKenna (2nd) (The head of Teen Challenge)

They are seated in front of the museum.

We got there early and stayed for four hours of adventures, then went to lunch around 2p.m. at (where else) McDonald's with a playland.

A Finished Room

Here is a picture of one of the door rooms. Harold put the final touches of baseboards. They are painted a bright yellow which makes them very cheery.

Pictured is the small closet. There is a large closet also. The room will house as many as 8 men.

Harold has been doing small things at the school on Fridays (when school is out) that need to be attended to like the heating/airconditioning. George, another M.A.P.S. er is working at the school also inbetween working at the dorm, building shelves.

Things are moving along

Things are progressing well at the Men's Dorm #3. Here you see Spud (MO) and Rich(MI) standing in front of the wall I had pictured previously, when it was only studs. They have all stud walls in place, 3/4 are drywalled and taped. The building is getting a new shingled roof. The AC units that arrived the day we left for Christmas and were returned because they were the wrong one are now replaced with the correct ones and we are waiting for good weather for Harold to install them.
