Carlinville

What a sweet little town Carlinville, Ill. is. It is quint, sitting in a square, filled with cars and people shopping on Saturday morning.... just like the good old days when people used the downtown.
As you see from the pictures ....the middle of the square is filled with a well manicured park and a gazebo. Shops are creative in their decor and diverse in choices......there is even a nice little coffee shop.

This town hosts the Assemblies Campground M.A.P.S. uses for their convention site each year. It sits three miles on the south end of town and has a lake. We have well over 400 registered campers from all over the U.S. and many more who simply show up.

Ready Set Go....

After going to our church all summer being refreshed, the church camp with grandkids, the BBQs & picnics, a wedding of our child (sorry for all you who could not attend-we had fun and lots of cake.....five different flavors), a quick dash to South Carolina to visit family and on to Florida to drop off a grandson to college ....good luck Josh...we are finally once again ready to become gypsies for the Lord.....doing His bidding. First we are attending a M.A.P.S. Convention near Springfield Illinois (to get us all geared up). We plan to have a grand time enjoying the festivities and reuniting with friends from the last trip and making new ones. Then its on to the very big state of Texas.
