Friday night a couple of families from the church got together and decided to have a fish fry for the M.A.P.S.'ers that have been working at the church for the past two weeks.
The food was great with lots of fish of different kinds, slaw, F.F.s, hush puppies, pickles and you must have lots of raw onions with the fish, so I'm told. Not my choice! Cakes for dessert. YUM!
We had good conversations and sharing of stories along with the food. This is a wonderful bunch of people and we will miss them when we move to the next place.
John, the man sitting across the table from Harold (in blue), has a health problem and has gone for testing. He received a phone call last week to come in on Tuesday for the results. We all gathered around him at work (the new church), annointed him with oil and prayed that he would receive a good report when he goes. He is the electrician on this job. Harold and Al (center in white) are helping him get the booth (in balcony) completed for all the electricial work for the sanctuary at the church. He wants to have a good report so he can keep working on churches for the Lord for a few more years, he says. He is now almost 80 years young.
